Having Fun with Phonetics!
Duración: 50 minutos|
Phonetics has traditionally been seen by students and some teachers as theoretical and boring. However, others, like us, feel that drilling sounds and highlighting tricky aspects of English phonology are not mutually exclusive with having fun in the classroom. In fact, it is our belief that whatever feels new and exciting in class is something students are likely to use and remember in the future. Moreover, we can make activities more memorable if we try to deal with several kinds of intelligences at the same time. This session will look at developing both speaking and listening skills in various pronunciation activities. Through the creation of a stress-free, relaxed classroom environment, we will reduce anxiety and increase students’ enjoyment of practising them.
